WHAT: A one day lifestyle event celebrating Japanese car culture. Motoring J Style, in its 2nd year, is America’s premier festival of Japanese cars. 400 historic and modern Japanese cars will be on display in a lovely natural setting, all while our drifters shred their tires in smoky powerslides and people buy and sell aftermarket products in our J Style Swap Meet. Manufacturers and automotive aftermarket vendors will be on hand to serve you! WHEN: Saturday, May 24, 2008. WHERE: Solano County Fairgrounds, Vallejo, California. This is in the San Francisco Bay Area, 30 miles from San Francisco on Hwy 37 at Hwy 80. EVENTS HAPPENING AT
WHO CAN ENTER:
IS THIS ONE OF THOSE TYPICAL “IMPORT” CAR SHOWS? Hell no! Our show is about cars, people, and the motoring lifestyle. Chances are, you’ve never been to a show like Motoring J Style before. Come check it out! HOW DO I ENTER?
CAN I COME JUST TO WATCH? Of course! Spectators are invited to attend and we have plenty of room for spectator parking. There will be food vendors on hand to serve you, plenty of excitement, and hundreds of gorgeous cars to look at! Tickets are $20 and parking is $5. Children under 12 are free so bring the whole family! WHO ORGANIZES THIS? The organizers of Motoring J Style, David and Martin Swig, are no strangers to the car world. They also organize the annual California Mille historic race car tour and other motoring events. They’ve been around the Japanese car hobby since Martin acquired a Datsun dealership in 1969, the first of many Japanese franchises. David, who has worked for both Road & Track and Motor Trend, races a Datsun 510 and an AE86 Toyota Corolla. |

They are located about three miles from the fairgrounds, and they can be reached at 707.554.9655 DRIFTING INFORMATION Drift Competition will be limited to ~30 cars as in 2007. Organized by Drift Day Norcal. This is a judged competition and not a practice day – therefore, track time will be limited.. But hey, when else do you get to drift – legally – in front of huge crowds of spectators? Registration forms will be available soon. Please check back so that you can register. RALLY DEMONSTRATION As last year, our friends from WORKS will stun the crowd with everyone’s favorite event – the rally demonstration!
